- All prices quoted are in Australian dollars.
- Credit/Debit Card: Mastercard / Visa / American Express are accepted. A surcharge of 1.5 % is payable on AMEX card purchases. Payment is taken at the point the order is processed by our online system.
- EFT payment - contact Accounts on (02) 8748 0191.
- Cheque/International Money Order, including any bank charges, in Australian dollars made out to “Australian Steel Institute Ltd” and mailed with printed order.
- Orders will not be despatched until payment is received.

Customers based outside Australia are not charged GST. International postage and handling charges are calculated per order and are available on request. Prices may be subject to alteration without prior notice. Availability may be subject to change.
When items are purchased that are temporarily out of stock, payment can be taken and we will contact you with an estimated availability date. Goods will be despatched automatically when available. In the event other items are also included in this order, we will part fill the order immediately and despatch the extra item as soon as possible. Only one delivery fee will be charged. We will advise customers of any problems with their order.
Customers awaiting outstanding orders may cancel at any time before despatch and receive a full refund (see returns and refunds below).
Member discountBack to top
All financial members of the ASI are entitled to receive member discount on their bookshop purchases. Members need to login first before completing their order to get this discount. Staff of ASI corporate members are entitled to buy ASI publications at member discount using their member contact login and their company address.
ASI individual members are entitled to buy one copy of each ASI publication at the member discount. Individual membership is not transferrable.

Customers may cancel their order at any time prior to despatch. Any notification of a wish to cancel an order must be made in writing, by letter or email to the Bookshop:

A refund will be made as soon as possible after the customer cancels, but within 30 days at the latest. Refunds will be issued by the same payment method, i.e. credit card payments will be refunded to the same credit card.
Returns and refundsBack to top
Any claim for non-arrival of an order must be made within 30 days of placing the order.
Customers wishing to return their order due to unsuitability may do so up to 14 days from the invoice date. Goods must be returned in a re-saleable condition and customers must arrange for their return at their own expense. A refund to the value of the goods (excluding original despatch costs) will be made within 30 days. No refund is possible on damaged goods.
Any damaged or incorrectly despatched goods should be returned with original packaging if possible, within 14 days of the invoice date. Where goods are damaged or incorrectly despatched, replacement goods will be sent to the customer. Alternatively, a complete refund for the goods and original despatch costs will be provided. The ASI Bookshop will also bear the cost of returning the goods by registered post. Special offers and discountsBack to top
Where customers are responding to a promotional offer or discount, a discount code may be required (entered during the checkout process). Generally, unless specified, only one discount/promotional code is allowed per order or per customer. The ASI Bookshop reserves the right to withdraw or change promotional offers and discounts at any time and refuse any application. Registered ASI Student Members are eligible for a one-off special discount on Design capacity tables for structural steel, volume 1: Open sections which they can obtain using their discount code.

• At what point am I committed to a shopping cart order?
You are not committed to a shopping cart order until you have entered your payment details and clicked “Submit”. You can add, remove or change the quantity at any time before placing the order.
• How can I find the total price including postage and handling for a publication?
You can either click “Add to cart” next to the item and follow the step-by-step checkout process till the last screen or contact the ASI via email to email@example.com or phone +61 2 8748 0190.
• How long will my order take?
Orders are normally despatched on Wednesdays and Fridays provided orders have been received by midday that day. Where goods are out of stock we will contact you with an estimated availability date. Customers can choose to cancel or amend their order at any time prior to despatch and receive a refund.
• I don’t want to use the online ordering system – how do I order publications offline?
Download an ASI bookshop order form (PDF) (147 Kb), complete it and scan/email to firstname.lastname@example.org mail with cheque to Australian Steel Institute, Suite 5, Level 3, Building 3, Pymble Corporate Centre, Pymble, NSW 2073. Orders are not taken by phone.
• Can I pick up my order from the Bookshop?
Yes, you can visit the ASI Bookshop on Suite 5, Level 3, Building 3, Pymble Corporate Centre, 20 Bridge Street, Pymble, open Monday to Friday, 8.30 am – 5pm; you can order and pay online then fetch the order, by selecting 'Pickup from ASI' as your delivery type on the online Checkout page; or you can order ahead then pick up, by downloading an ASI bookshop order form, completing it and returning by scan and email to email@example.com . When the order is ready for pick-up, we will notify you.
• Where can I look at the books?
A set of ASI books can be viewed by appointment with the relevant State Manager at ASI state offices in Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth. Books can only be purchased from the ASI Bookshop in Pymble, NSW. New Zealand customers can browse and purchase books from HERA, Hera House, 17-19 Gladding Place, Manukau City 2104, or contact HERA Information Centre via firstname.lastname@example.org or phone +64 9 2622885.
• I have a query/problem with my order. Who do I contact?

• I’m having trouble completing the checkout portion of the ordering process. The computer will not accept my information.
Check whether your computer is set to receive cookies, that you are using one of the three accepted credit card types and that all numbers have been entered correctly. The payment system does not recognise some symbols in the credit card name field. If your credit card name includes an &, please substitute it with "and". You also have the option of completing an offline order by downloading an ASI bookshop order form (PDF) (147 Kb) and returning it by scan/email to email@example.com
• Is there any special student discount?
Yes, registered ASI student members are eligible for a one-off discount on the Design Capacity Tables for structural steel, volume 1: Open sections. To avail yourself of this offer, please enter your discount code when ordering.
• Can I buy Australian standards from the ASI bookshop?
No, Australian standards are available from SAI Global. Online orders can be placed via their website https://infostore.saiglobal.com/store/Default.aspx
• Are there any corrigenda for ASI publications?
