Design Guide 12: Bolted end plate to column moment connections

This design guide provides a recommended design model for beams or rafters welded to an end plate which is in turn bolted to a column.

It uses the same design model as Design Guide 10 for the design of the end plate and a similar assessment procedure as Design Guide 11 for the assessment of the need for column stiffening and procedures for the design of column stiffeners.

It contains detailing and fabrication guidance, a worked example and nine design capacity tables suitable for beams or rafters inclined at between eighty and one hundred degrees to the column.
