Design Guide 5: Angle cleat connections

Design Guide 5 covers the single and double angle cleat connection which is a simple connection in terms of AS 4100-1998. It references Handbook 1 for a number of design solutions used in the recommended Design Model for the angle cleat connection.

This design guide describes the connection, provides generalised detailing for the connection, a recommended design model for both single and double angle cleats, each involving ten separate design checks, two design examples and ten design capacity tables derived for a selected geometry using the recommended design model.
