Student Resources Overview

The ASI has a charter to actively support the education of engineering students in areas of steel use and design. The ASI offers free online membership to students studying Bachelor degrees in engineering, building or architecture and enrolled in Australian universities. This program is designed to bridge the area between student and industry and leads into professional membership with ongoing professional learning, support activities and publications.
ASI Student Member benefits include:
1. Members' access to the eLibrary: the Steel Resources collection which includes many PDFs to download and the opportunity to request any items from the Members' Library that can be delivered electronically. The ASI Members' Steel Design Library is one of the largest in the Southern Hemisphere.
2. Discounts on publications and technical resources from the ASI Bookshop.
3. Access to free technical evenings and discounts on technical seminars and workshops.
4. ASI Student Members also have the option of purchasing a hard copy of the latest edition of the Design capacity tables for structural steel, vol. 1: Open sections at the special student price of $66.00 (postage and handling is extra).
