Sections and weighted evaluation criteria for Categories 3 and 4: Exemplary Company Sustainability Achievement
The following sections are evaluated and weighted during the judging process (more details in the entry form):
Section 1 - Sustainability achievement(s) (50 points), such as:
- Positive environmental sustainability achievement with metrics provided as evidence e.g company energy/carbon reduction, waste reduction, water use reduction, transport improvements
- Positive social and/or economic achievement with supporting evidence e.g local community engagement and support, increasing staff diversity and employment opportunities, addressing modern slavery
- Positive business governance solutions e.g improvements in traceability, data management, energy metering and monitoring leading to more efficient business practices
Section 2 - Leadership and/or innovation (30 points) - Provide evidence of how the achievement demonstrates sustainability leadership for the steel industry including supply chain improvements, and leading market transformation
Section 3 – Sustainability certification (20 points) - Steel Sustainability Australia level 2 certification or above, or other equivalent steel sustainability certification credentials
