The Alfabs Group and its employees hold a wide range of engineering experience, including but limited to structural steel, plate work, mechanical steelwork, piping and storage projects including installation of works for the mining, energy, infrastructure and construction industries ranging from one to 4000 tonnes. It has three locations on the Australian east coast. Its head office and main workshops are located in the Hunter Valley which consists of a heavy fabrication shop with 3000sqm under cover with CNC fabrication equipment and over 45 tonne single lift capacity as well as a 1500sqm undercover fabrication shop, both supported by a 2500sqm paint facility and five acres of suitable storage and assembly areas. Its Wollongong works is 1000sqm under one roof and its Mackay shop 800sqm. Having these locations allows the business to use local labour which reduces onsite cost. All works are backed by its own transport and full access equipment fleets.
