The impact of weak market conditions exacerbated by massive undercutting by imported fabricated steel will be explored at a steel industry forum for ASI’s SA fabricator members. Undercutting of local fabricators by cheap imported fabricated steel follows a downturn in the China economy. This has seriously undermined the local market, especially in the portal frame and industrial warehouses market segments where many businesses have become unviable.
The South Australia Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, Minister for Energy and Mining - Minister Tom Koutsantonis will be speaking and engaging with the Forum, and additionally supported by the SA Office of the Industry Advocate.
And so, it’s an opportunity for our Fabricators to raise their market & business concerns with the SA Government and also networking opportunities.
This meeting is restricted to ASI fabricator members only. Attendance may be refused at our discretion.
