Welcome to Metal Musings, an official newsletter of the Australian Steel Institute (ASI). Each edition brings news for both ASI members and non-members on member initiatives, profiles and moves, project and technical case studies, letters to the editor, and insights into the innovations and capabilities of Australia's steel manufacturers, distributors, processors and fabricators.

We will come back to you within two weeks of receiving your submission if we proceed to profiling your organisation. A decision on who will be profiled will depend on a range of factors including ensuring the whole of the ASI membership is represented in the profile election process and whether the organisation’s story benefits members. The final decision will rest with the editor in consultation with state managers, ASI membership services manager and the chief executive. ASI requires a brief, 10 sentence written summary on a feature of the business of interest to the broad membership (eg: something our 5,000 members can learn from/differs the profiled organisation from the pack), with a head and shoulders image of the person profiled (in colour).
