The Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) online responsible products calculator will be released for trials in October.
The calculator will provide an easy way for Green Star applicants to calculate their responsible produce values (RPVs) based on the building materials they purchased for a Green Star project.
It will eventually serve as a procurement decision tool for materials procured for Green Star projects and be publicly available on the GBCA website.
This will be a great value add for ASI Steel Sustainability Australia (SSA) certified facilities and for steel in general. A webinar on the new calculator will be held on Thursday 12 Oct. Book here for the webinar.
Note: SSA certified facilities will automatically have their manufactured product capabilities listed on the database. This will include with relevant RPVs allocated (10 RPVs for SSA Level 2 certification and 15 RPVs for level 3 certification) for project proponents to select from to calculate their Green Star rating.
