Ken Watson calls it a day

Ken Watson calls it a day

One of the steel industry’s most respected voices, Ken Watson is retiring after an exemplary career in the steel industry and 20-plus years’ service to the National Association of Steel-Framed Housing (NASH).

Executive director of NASH, Ken has been instrumental in NASH’s growth as a respected voice in the building industry.

His experience includes 12 years with the Structural Steel Development Group of BHP Steel, responsible for increasing the use of steel in building construction during the 1980s and 1990s, before becoming executive director of NASH in 2003.

ASI and NASH work closely together on initiatives and seminars in the light-gauge steel sector.

NASH will soon be advertising for candidates for the position. Inquiries should be directed through NASH president John Shayler on enquiries@nash.asn.au. Ken will continue to consult to NASH on a part-time basis, focusing on technical work.
