The ASI advises steel industry suppliers, contractors and sub-contractors in Victoria they could miss out on valuable state government contracts unless they register for pre assessment certificates under changes to the Vic Fair Jobs Code by 1st September 2024.
The changes lower the threshold for pre assessment certificate applications from $3 million for direct contracts and $10 million for subcontracts to $1 million (exclusive of GST) for all contracts.
The certificate ensures businesses bidding for government tenders and procurements are providing fair and safe workplaces for their employees. For more details and register information, see the accompanying information sheet.
