Webinar Outline - A duration of 1 hour in total.
Part 1 looks at the context for the presentation and why we need 3rd party certification. An overview of the ASI National Structural Steelwork Compliance Scheme is discussed as an example of a certification scheme based on AS/NZS 5131. Part 1 is concluded by examining the certification environment in Australia. This is significant, as many stakeholders are confused as to whether certification is mandatory and just what certifications they need.
Part 2 moves on to examine the basis for certification to AS/NZS 5131 by explaining just what certification is and how the National Structural Steelwork Compliance Scheme is structured to reflect international good practice in respect of certification. Following that, it looks at what the fabricator needs to configure prior to commencing the certification journey, including the Standards, implementing a quality management system, the documentation supporting required processes and procedures and finally the human resources requirements and qualifications.
Part 3 provides an invaluable checklist of items for the fabricator to cover off before looking in more detail at the actual certification process required by Steelwork Compliance Australia.
